The Delta State Government has called on youths across the state to take advantage of the ongoing 90th regular recruitment exercise for trades and non-tradesmen and women into the Nigerian Army.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Kingsley Emu, made the call during a sensitisation visit by the Army Headquarters Team from Abuja, led by Brigadier General Patrick Alimikhena.

Emu said it was a thing of pride for soldiers of Delta origin to serve and defend the nation’s territorial integrity, adding that the state government would continue to support initiatives that create opportunities for young Deltans.
He disclosed that the State Government had established a structured synergy between traditional rulers, religious bodies, and local government councils to deepen sensitisation and ensure the Delta meets its allocated quota in the recruitment exercise.
Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Youth Development, ThankGod Trakiriowei, appreciated the team’s visit and revealed that an enlistment committee had been set up by the State Government to drive the registration process.
In his remarks, Brig.-Gen. Alimikhena urged Delta youths to take advantage of the opportunity to serve their country and achieve their dreams through a career in the Nigerian Army.

He announced that online registration for the 90th Regular Recruitment Exercise began on September 29 and will close on November 14 while the physical recruitment exercise for shortlisted candidates will be held from December 4 to 17 at the Cenotaph, Asaba.
