FCTA Releases Hotlines For Reporting Uncleared Refuse

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has released four telephone numbers for residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to report uncleared refuse in the nation’s capital.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring that waste management contractors carry out their responsibilities promptly and in line with their contractual obligations.

A statement on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka, urged residents to actively participate by reporting uncleared refuse through the designated phone numbers via WhatsApp.

According to him, residents are encouraged to send clear pictures and videos of refuse that has not been evacuated, while also specifying the exact location to enable authorities to identify the contractors responsible for the affected areas.

“This will help the Administration monitor contractors more effectively and ensure timely waste evacuation across the FCT,” he said.

The phone numbers provided for reporting are 08038643087, 07011073406, 07011255710, and 09114843425.

The FCTA reiterated its commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment in the FCT and called on residents to cooperate by using the reporting channels responsibly.
