Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Chris Okafor has apologised to actress Doris Ogala on Sunday, kneeling before his congregation to seek forgiveness for past mistakes.
Recall that the dispute between Ogala and Okafor erupted after the actress accused the pastor of reneging on a promise to marry her.
Through her lawyers, Synergy Law Partners, Ogala demanded N1bn in damages, citing emotional distress, reputational harm, and financial loss stemming from their alleged relationship.
Ogala claimed the relationship, which reportedly started in 2017, involved promises of marriage, introductions to family members, and significant financial transactions.
She alleged Okafor’s actions caused her emotional turmoil and financial strain.

The accusations include a N45m transfer made as part of their dealings, with Ogala asserting the pastor’s failure to honor his commitments led to her seeking redress.
Okafor had previously dismissed the allegations but later apologised amid public pressure.
In a viral video, Okafor said, “Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender an apology to everybody,” while specifically mentioning Ogala.
He reiterated his willingness to make amends, saying, “I’m ready to make a restitution to anyone, anybody, any lady I have offended. I am sorry. Forgive me.”
Despite apologising, Okafor maintained that “everything that was said is not true,” insisting Ogala’s allegations contained “so many lies.”

Responding, on Instagram Live, Ogala noted that she has forgiven him but rejected his claim that she lied.
“Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there’s a problem. Where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote.
