The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) celebrated its 54th anniversary, highlighting its role in bridging Nigeria’s skills gap and boosting economic resilience through vocational training and workforce since its establishment on October 8, 197.
The Director-General of the ITF, Dr Afiz Ogun, stated that over the years, the fund has evolved into a leading institution driving human development and technical l-vocational education in Nigeria.

The mission, he said is to equip Nigerians with skills required for productivity, employability and national development since it establishment.
He highlighted the Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) Programme as one of ITF’s flagship initiatives.
The programme, he added, focuses on retraining, retooling, and certifying Nigerian artisans to meet international standards, enabling them to compete both locally and globally.

As the organization looks towards the future, Ogun reaffirms its commitment to national development through skills acquisition.
