Liverpool Stumble In Premier League Top Four Race

Liverpool coach Arne Slot was disappointed with the result, blaming the team’s inability to convert their chances.
He said: “Of course I am very disappointed about the result. [It says] a lot about ball possession and turning possession into chance creation. Even for our standards, we’ve added even more ball possession than we usually have. This time we were able to create a lot, but not for the first time this season we hardly conceded a chance, but we did concede a goal.
“Just before we conceded the 1-1, there was another moment where we tried to bring the ball out from the back, we lost it and that led to a big chance for them where it was almost an own goal. [Alisson] saved us there.
“And then not much time later, another time we tried to bring the ball out from the back, failed to do so and a great finish from them. That led to them scoring one, and then us — with multiple, multiple, multiple chances — also one, and in the end the result is 1-1.”
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League games, but they have drawn six and won four in that time.
