MOUAU Warns Public Against Employment Scam
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), Umudike, Abia State, has raised an alert over a surge in fraudulent activities targeting job seekers.
According to the university, some members of the public have begun contacting individuals within and outside the institution, seeking assistance to secure employment.
The Chief Public Relations Officer, Ubadire Agua in a statement on Wednesday, disclosed that some desperate applicants have even inquired about the cost of securing jobs and positions at the university.
This follows the university’s advertisement for teaching and non-teaching positions in national newspapers on October 10, 2025.
Agua emphasized that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, has never demanded and will not demand any form of payment or gratification for employment.
He urged the public to be wary of employment racketeers.
