The Super Eagles defeated Egypt 4-2 on penalties to win the Bronze medal at the 2025 Nations Cup in Morocco on Saturday.
Eric Chelle rested the likes of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, as Moses Simon led the team.
The regulation time ended goalless before the match went straight into a penalty shootout.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru missed the first kick for Nigeria while Stanley Nwabali saved Mohammed Salah’s effort.
He also saved Omar Marmoush’s penalty to boost Nigeria’s chances.
Akor Adams, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman all scored their penalties to lead Nigeria to victory and a record ninth bronze medal in the tournament’s history.

Hosts Morocco will take on Senegal in the final on Sunday.
