Police Recover 15 International Passports From Abuja ‘One Chance’ Robbery Suspects
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command on Sunday announced the arrest of four suspects involved in a one-chance robbery and attempted kidnapping operation.
The police rescued two victims in the process, recovered international passports, arms, and four mobile phones amongst others during the operation.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said one Hajara Ali had reported to the Life Camp Police Station that her sister, Comfort Habila, had called in distress, stating she had been abducted by suspected criminals who demanded a N1m ransom for her release.
According to Adeh, the incident occurred on Wednesday October 8, 2025, at about 10:09 p.m.
Upon receipt of the report, Adeh said police operatives from the Life Camp Division immediately deployed digital and tactical intelligence, and the suspects were tracked and arrested in Dape Village at about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday October 9, 2025, following a near-deadly confrontation with the police.
The victims, Comfort Habila (f) and Aliyu Adams (m), were rescued.

Adams, who sustained multiple stab wounds inflicted by the suspects, was taken to Gwarinpa General Hospital for medical treatment.
The arrested suspects are: Solomon Tanko (m); Samuel Audu (m); Chigozie Joseph (m) and Emmanuel Chidiebere (m).
Further investigation revealed that the suspects had been involved in a series of one-chance robberies around the Bannex and Kado areas of Abuja, using a vehicle with tinted windows to lure and rob unsuspecting passengers.
Adeh noted that the suspect confessed to robbing at least six victims before their arrest.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects include “15 international passports, two sharp daggers, two cutlasses, bloodstained documents, four mobile phones, two hammers, and three biros.”

According to her, the suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao Adewale commended the Life Camp Divisional Police Officers and urged residents to continue to trust the police and report incidents swiftly for timely intervention.
