The presidency had earlier announced Tinubu’s plans to spend the end-of-year holidays in Lagos after a three-state visit that began on December 19.
During that trip, Tinubu visited Borno State, where he commissioned projects undertaken by Governor Babagana Zulum and the Federal Government. He also attended the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff.
From Maiduguri, he proceeded to Bauchi State to condole with the government and family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on November 27.
Tinubu then traveled to Lagos for the end-of-year holidays and served as guest of honour at the Eyo Festival on December 27.
