Edo Queens have crowned champions of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership following a goalless draw against Bayelsa Queens.
The highly contested encounter could not produce any goal, but the point share was enough to secure the league title for the Benin Ladies and cap off an impressive campaign.
The triumph marks a second NWFL Premiership title for head coach Moses Aduku, who once again guided Edo Queens to domestic success with a disciplined and consistent performance throughout the season.
By winning the league title, Edo Queens will now represent Nigeria at this year’s WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, where they will battle for a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League and ultimately the 2027 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
The latest achievement again underlines Edo Queens’ growing reputation in Nigerian women’s football as they now turn their attention to continental competition.
