Manchester United Suffer Dorgu Injury Blow

Manchester United’s Patrick Dorgu is set to miss around 10 weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The Danish defender has enjoyed a good run of form since Michael Carrick took over the reins at Old Trafford.

He has been deployed in an advanced left-sided attacking role. He scored in the victories over Manchester City and Arsenal.

However, he limped off in the closing stages against Arsenal with a cramp.

Michael Carrick confirmed that he suffered a cramp in the encounter in his post-match conference.

He said, “Dorgu ended up coming off but I think it just shows what he put in with his performance. But yeah absolutely delighted for him, just hope he’s not too bad. At this stage it’s hard to tell. We’ll just have to wait and see but for sure we’re hoping that it’s not too bad.”

According to reports in England, he is expected to be ruled out of action for 10 weeks, dealing a major blow to the Red Devils.

He will miss the team’s next eight matches in the Premier League against Fulham, Tottenham, West Ham, Everton, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Bournemouth.

Dorgu is also expected to miss Denmark’s playoff semi-final clash against North Macedonia on March 26 at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.

He has made 22 Premier League appearances, registering three goals and three assists since joining the club last season, and has picked up two goals and one assist in his last five league games.
