Per Second News Appoints New Editors To Drive Digital Content, Health, Entertainment Coverage
Per Second News has appointed three new editors as it expands its digital content, health, entertainment and multimedia coverage.
PSN named Joycelyn Ellakeche Adah as Digital Content Editor and Producer, Dr. Emily Howswirthz as Health and Wellness Editor, and Oluwasegun Adebayo as Entertainment and Lifestyle Editor.
The publication’s Managing Director/Managing Editor, Akinsola Ayodele, announced the appointments on Wednesday.
Adah, a broadcast journalist and producer with more than two decades of experience, has worked with African Independent Television, Aso Television, Advocate Broadcasting Network and BenTV Europe.
She produced and presented NNPCL Energy Today on Channels Television and is the producer of The Exchange, Per Second News’ flagship podcast.
PSN said Adah’s experience would help advance its “digital and multimedia strategy.”

Howswirthz, a physician with more than two decades of medical experience, has worked in hospitals in Hamburg, Germany, and has been involved in health outreach and wellness programmes, particularly in East Africa.
She will lead the publication’s health and wellness coverage, including public health, preventive care, medical developments and healthy living, with a focus on “expert-driven, accessible and credible content.”
Adebayo’s appointment took effect on August 8, 2026.
He joined Per Second News from Nigerian Tribune, where he was an Assistant Editor. He has nearly 16 years of journalism and media experience.
Per Second News said Adebayo will oversee entertainment, lifestyle, celebrity and premium social coverage, including developing “compelling, exclusive and industry-leading content” across its digital and traditional multimedia platforms.

It described the appointments as part of its commitment to “quality journalism, innovative content creation and a multimedia-driven approach to news, public education and audience engagement.”
In 2020, the organisation announced Akinsola’s appointment as Managing Editor.
Akinsola, who was Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) before joining PSN, was named Managing Director/Executive Editor in 2023.
