U.S. Set To Deport Nigerian Over Alleged Rape, Kidnapping
The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced plans to deport a Nigerian national, Ayodeji Olamide Ajayi, following allegations of overstaying his visa and committing multiple criminal offences.
ICE disclosed this via its official X handle on Monday night, stating that he had an extensive criminal record.
According to the agency, Ajayi entered the United States in 2007 on a student visa but subsequently abandoned his academic studies and refused to leave the country.
The U.S. immigration authority stated that during his unlawful stay in the country, Ajayi accumulated a lengthy criminal record involving violent crimes and felony charges.
The statement read: “Ayodeji Olamide Ajayi, of Nigeria, entered the United States in 2007 on a student visa and eventually left school, but failed to leave the country.
“Instead, he stayed in the U.S. and got to work on a lengthy rap sheet that includes convictions such as: Domestic violence, Trespassing, Intimidation, and Obstruction.

“His criminal history also includes these egregious charges: Kidnapping, Rape, and Family neglect.”
The agency further attributed the swift move to deport Ajayi to the current administration’s intensified clampdown on undocumented immigrants with active criminal backgrounds.
“Thanks to POTUS’ commitment to getting criminal illegal aliens out of this country, Ajayi will be leaving the United States shortly,” ICE added.
While the federal agency detailed the convictions and pending felony charges against the suspect, it did not disclose the specific states or local jurisdictions where the crimes were committed, nor did it state his current detention facility.
