Wike Joins Body Of Benchers’ Procession At Son’s Call To Bar
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, joined the Body of Benchers’ procession during the Call to Bar ceremony in Abuja, where his son, Jordan Wike, was among the new lawyers admitted into the Nigerian Bar.
Wike, accompanied by his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike, took part in the symbolic procession before joining his family to celebrate the milestone.

Confirming the development, the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, shared photos of the event on his official X handle.
“Happy Dad and Mum. FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike, with their son, Jordan, who is to be called to Bar today,” Olayinka wrote.
Ahead of the ceremony, the Body of Benchers had released the schedule for aspirants slated for the Call to Bar between September 23 and 25, 2025, noting that each candidate was required to present a Nigerian Law School identity card to collect their invitation cards.
The call to bar, organised by the Body of Benchers, is a statutory event that ushers successful Nigerian Law School graduates into the legal profession as barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

This year’s edition saw thousands of candidates formally admitted into the profession.
