Abiodun Orders Increased Intelligence Gathering Across Ogun

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has met with security chiefs in the state to review the overall security situation and assess measures for the protection of lives and property as the new year begins.

During the meeting, the governor received briefings on current security realities, emerging concerns, and ongoing operations across different parts of the state.

Discussions focused on strengthening intelligence gathering, enhancing inter-agency collaboration, and ensuring prompt responses to any security threats.

Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritising security, noting that peace and safety remain critical to the state’s social and economic development.

He assured the security agencies of continued government support to enable them to effectively carry out their duties.

In a post on X after the meeting, the governor said the engagement provided an opportunity to evaluate the security architecture of the state and fine-tune strategies to stay ahead of potential threats.

“As we begin a new year, we met with security chiefs in Ogun State to assess the overall security situation and review issues relating to the safety of lives and property across our state. The meeting allowed us to receive detailed briefings on current realities, emerging concerns, and ongoing efforts by the various security agencies,” Abiodun said.

He added that the meeting also addressed the need to improve intelligence gathering, strengthen inter-agency cooperation, and sustain peace across communities.

The governor stressed that his administration would continue to work closely with all security agencies to ensure Ogun State remains safe, stable, and conducive for living, working, and investment.

“We reaffirmed our commitment to making security a top priority of our administration. We will continue to support our security agencies and work closely with them to ensure that Ogun State remains safe, stable, and conducive for living, working, and investment under our administration,” Abiodun said.
