Arsenal To Face Bayern Munich, Real Madrid Battle Man City In Champions League Quarter Finals

Arsenal have been handed a tough tie against Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of the Champions League, while Real Madrid will take on Manchester City.

The draws were announced in a ceremony at Uefa’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday afternoon.

The Gunners booked their first last eight place in the competition in 14 years after seeing off Porto in the second round.

Bayern Munich dispatched Lazio in the last round to seal a record 22nd quarter final appearance in the competition.

The first leg will take place at the Emirates Stadium between April 9-10.

Defending Champions, Manchester City will take on Real Madrid again after they defeated Carlo Ancelotti’s men in the semi-final last season.

Both sides have now met in the knockout stages of the competition for the third consecutive season.

Barcelona will battle it out with PSG, while Atletico Madrid will slug it out with Borussia Dortmund.

The winner between Arsenal and Bayern Munich will face either Real Madrid or Manchester City in the semi-final.

The first leg is billed for 9-10 April, while the second legs take place on 16-17 April.
