South Korea’s Park Knocks Quadri Out Of WTT Contender

Park Gyehyeon of South Korea has brought Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri’s run at the World Table Tennis Contender in Skopje to an end.

The Korean star defeated Quadri 3–1 in the Round of 16 to book his place in the next round.

Quadri put up a strong fight , but it was Park who came out on top in Skopje.

Prior to the round of 16 clash, Aruna Quadri survived a scare against France’s rising prodigy Flavien Coton, fighting back from a 2–1 deficit to seal a dramatic comeback victory at the WTT Contender Skopje 2026.

Quadri, now 37 years old and ranked World No.76, has been a top 10 player seven times, most recently reaching that feat in 2022.

The ongoing WTT Contender 2026 in Skopje, North Macedonia, is an important tournament on the World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender Series which attracts a strong international field from around the world.

Skopje 2026 is equally featuring established stars and emerging players from multiple continents. For athletes outside the world’s elite, it offers a chance to test themselves against higher-ranked opponents and gain experience under major-event conditions.
