FG Disowns Paramilitary Recruitment Notice

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has disowned a recruitment notice circulating on social media.

It described it as fake and intended to deceive unsuspecting job seekers.

The false notice, on a forged official letterhead and allegedly e-signed by the Secretary to the Board, is dated 10 December 2025.

The notice claims the Board has moved to the next phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise, physical screening and document verification, and directs shortlisted candidates to visit a fraudulent portal, “recruitment cdcffib.government.ng”, between 15 and 19 December 2025 to choose screening venues and dates.

The fake statement further claims that the physical screening would take place from 22 to 26 December 2025.

CDCFIB Secretary, Major General Abdulmalik Jibrin (Rtd), in a statement on Thursday, refuted the notice and urged the general public to disregard it in its entirety.

He stressed that he neither authored nor signed any announcement regarding dates or venues for physical screening or document verification.

According to him, the viral document is the handiwork of unscrupulous individuals seeking to mislead and possibly defraud innocent applicants.

The Board emphasised that all genuine information concerning its recruitment exercises will be released only through its verified official communication channels.
