The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced plans to commence the next stage of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.
It directed applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) held in November 2025 to verify their status on the board’s recruitment portal.
In a statement on Saturday, the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril said the next phase of the recruitment process would involve physical screening and document verification.
According to the statement, applicants are expected to visit the official recruitment portal from June 15 to June 20, 2026, to confirm their status.
The board explained that candidates should log in using the application number generated during their initial registration. Those who are shortlisted will be required to upload their credentials and select their preferred date and venue for the physical screening exercise.
“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board wishes to inform the general public, especially applicants for the 2024/2025 Recruitment Exercise, of its plan to move to the next stage of the exercise, which is physical screening and document verification,” the statement read.

CDCFIB advised applicants to carefully follow all instructions provided on the recruitment portal to avoid disqualification or delays in the screening process.
The board also reiterated that the recruitment exercise remains entirely free of charge and warned applicants against making payments to individuals, agents, groups or organisations claiming to offer assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document uploads, access to screening centres or final selection.
It further cautioned members of the public to disregard fake recruitment messages, fraudulent links and unauthorised persons purporting to represent the board.
The statement noted that all official information regarding the recruitment exercise would only be communicated through the CDCFIB recruitment portal and other approved communication channels.
Reaffirming its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, the board stated that the exercise would be conducted in line with established rules and procedures guiding recruitment into the services under its supervision.
