Police Arrest Suspected Rapist In Imo

The Imo State Police Command has arrested a suspected serial rapist, identified as Okoroafor Emmanuel Chinedu.

Chinedu is a final year student of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (Futo) and also a member of the Man O’ War security outfit of the school.

He was apprehended by a local security group in collaboration with a human right group known as Onurube Gender-based Coalition (OGBC).

Marjorie Ezihe, the group’s Convener, informed THE WHISTLER that the suspect had faced multiple accusations of exploiting his unsuspecting female victims and engaging in sexual acts with them against their will.

She said: “He deploys his position as the commander of Man O War to take advantage of students in the institution.”

The Imo State Police Command Spokesperson, Henry Okoye, said, ” investigation is ongoing to ascertain his culpability in the case.”
