Enugu Actors Guild Demands Recall Of Suspended Members

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Enugu State Chapter, Monday, demanded the recall of some of its suspended members to the guild.

The Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter and Chairman, Congress of Chairmen, AGN, Prince Brown Ene, made the request in a message to the newly elected national executive of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, led by Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar.

THE WHISTLER reports that Alhaji Abubakar emerged the new national leader of the guild at its Annual General Meeting held in Benin, Edo State.

Ene taxed the new president of the guild to recall the trio of Christopher Igboji, Dan Ewerem and Jeff Okwute to the guild in the interest of peace and unity.

Ene wrote, “Your emergence at this crucial time reflects the trust and confidence reposed in your leadership, vision, and dedication to the continued growth of Nollywood and the welfare of our members nationwide. I appeal that your leadership extends its mission of unity in Enugu by ensuring the recall of the aforementioned members.”

The Enugu Chapter appreciated the outgoing President of the guild, Dr Emeka Ejezie, “for his outstanding service, unwavering commitment, and transformational leadership”.

Ene said Ejezie’s tenure “not only strengthened the guild but elevated it to its highest height in recent history”.

Quoting him, “We celebrate his ground braking initiative in establishing AGN international USA. We applaud our National Chairman, Dr Chidimma Nwogu. He has opened new global pathways for Nollywood and expanded opportunities for Nigerian actors in the international entertainment space. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of creatives.”
