Mystery Deepens In Ikoyi Murder As Police Declare Two Men Wanted

The Lagos State Police Command has declared two men wanted over their alleged involvement in the conspiracy and murder of a woman in the Ikoyi area of the state.

The suspects were identified as 32-year-old Folawiyo Alagbado and 33-year-old Ajibola Obateru, both of whom reportedly have their last known addresses in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The command announced their wanted status in separate bulletins published on its official X handle on Wednesday.

According to the police, Alagbado and Obateru allegedly conspired with others to attack the victim, kill her and dispose of her body at an unknown location.

The police further alleged that the suspects and their accomplices took away the victim’s personal belongings after the incident.

The command said, “The suspect conspired with others to attack the victim, allegedly killed her and made away with her body to an unknown location.

“The victim’s belongings were also stolen by the fleeing suspect and his cohorts.”

The police described Alagbado as a Yoruba man, aged 32, of average height, with an oval face, wide nose, long wide mouth, medium lips, white eyes, dark complexion and a round chin.
His last known address was given as Ibadan, Oyo State.

Obateru, also identified as Yoruba, was described as 33 years old, 5.9ft tall, thinly built, with an oval face, long nose, small mouth, thin lips, black eyes, fair complexion, pointed chin and thick black hair.

The police said his last known address was also in Ibadan.

The command urged members of the public with information that could lead to the arrest of either suspect to report immediately to the nearest police station.
They were also advised to contact the Office of the Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Musiliu Smith Street, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

The command provided a dedicated contact number for information concerning the suspects’ whereabouts.

The police cautioned members of the public against confronting or attempting to apprehend the suspects themselves, urging anyone who spots them to alert the authorities.

The command said information supplied by members of the public could assist investigators in tracking down the wanted suspects and advancing the investigation into the alleged murder.
