N36m Fraud: Court Reserves Ruling On Blessing CEO’s Bail Application

A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has reserved ruling on a bail application filed by social media influencer and relationship therapist Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO.

Justice D.I. Dipeolu made the order on Friday after hearing arguments on the application.

Blessing CEO is standing trial on a two-count charge filed by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The charges, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing, involve the sum of N36m. She has pleaded not guilty to the allegations.

The EFCC alleged that between 14 and 17 July 2024, the defendant fraudulently obtained N36m from Mrs Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye under the false pretence of securing the lease of a six-bedroom detached duplex located at No. 1B, Tunbosun Osobu Street, off Kuboye Road, Lekki, Lagos.

In the second count, she is accused of dishonestly converting the same amount to her personal use.

She was first arraigned on 15 May 2026 and remanded in EFCC custody pending the hearing of her bail application.

Her counsel moved the application on Friday, while the prosecution opposed it. Justice Dipeolu subsequently reserved ruling and is expected to deliver his decision on 9 June.
