Nigerian Comedian, Sabinus Confirms Breakup From Wife

Nigerian comedian and content creator, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, has confirmed that his marriage has ended.

The 30-year-old disclosed during a recent TikTok live session that the union, which was formalised in 2023, had ended peacefully.

“I’m not married, despite any rumors. My child’s mother and I ended things peacefully, and she’s completely fine with it “he said,

The comedian noted that he and his former wife remain on cordial terms and are committed to co-parenting their daughter.

“The mum and I are good. My daughter is okay, and she is doing fine,” he added, assuring fans of the child’s well-being.

Rumours about Sabinus’ marriage had circulated for months, despite previous denials from both parties. His latest confirmation finally settles the lingering controversies.

Sabinus, who began his online comedy career in 2015, rose to mainstream fame in 2019. He has since featured in several Nollywood productions, including Billionaire’s Bride and Man of War.

His creative prowess earned him the ‘Best Online Content Creator’ award at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Reflecting on his early struggles in the entertainment industry, Sabinus had said that securing support from established entertainers was difficult. “Even some top celebrities blocked me on Instagram because I asked for help. To an extent, I knew it was every man for himself,” he said.
