Service Chiefs Arrives Borno

Just a day after President Muhammadu Buhari gave the Service Chiefs a three month ultimatum to crush Boko Haram, the service chiefs have arrived in Borno State Friday, 14 August to access the operations of the military in the North east.

The service chiefs present includes the Chief of Army Staff Major-General Tukur Buratai, The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar, also with them was the National Security Adviser Mohammed Babagana Monguno and the Inspector General of Police Mr. Solomon Arase.


The President on Thursday was embittered by the upswing of terror attacks in the North east, challenging the Service Chiefs to make Nigeria proud.

He charged them on accountability of both the personnel’s beneath them and the available resources.

President Buhari also acknowledged his total commitment and support for them, saying his administration will provide the necessary support the military requires, that they should always protect innocent lives so as to earn the support of Nigerians and the international community.

Meanwhile, The Nigerian Air Force has moved its military base to the North east to augment the military operations there as ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari that the military command centre be moved to the North east.
