Reno Omokri, a pastor and former special assistant on new media to Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday, advised the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to swallow their pride and approach former president Goodluck Jonathan for tips on leadership.
Omokri, who made the statement via his twitter handle was reacting to the economic downturn facing the country since the All Progressive Congress (APC) took over the reins of leadership.

@APCNigeria/PMB should swallow pride and approach @PdpNigeria/GEJ for advise. Change has more cloth, but cant have more rags than tradition!

Also speaking on the Federal Government’s directive, restraining financial institutions from retrenching members of its workforce, Omokri said the only way FG can ‘direct’ private firms not to sack is by fixing the economy.

You pulled 15% of the funds from banks to CBN in the name of TSA, then employed your kids at CBN, now you are ordering banks not to sack!!!

You say you dont want banks to sack and you threaten to revoke their license! What happens if you withdraw licenses? Is it not mass sacking?
— Reno Omokri (@renoomokri) June 8, 2016
The same FG ordering banks not to sack is itself downsizing immigration/prisons. Isn’t this hypocrisy? We too ‘order’ FG to fix the economy!

If a bank with 20k staff sacks 200 workers & you withdraw its license, what happens to the 19,800 remaining staff? Kobo wise, Naira foolish!
