VIDEO: Pandemonium As Two-Storey Building Collapses In Lagos

A two-storey building collapsed on Monday morning in the Orile Iganmu area of Lagos State, causing residents to scamper for safety.

The incident occurred on Amusu Street, near Baale Bus Stop, Orile Iganmu.

A video circulating on social media, seen by THE WHISTLER, captured the chaotic scene as residents scrambled to escape.

As of now, it is unclear if there were any casualties.

However, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident, stating that there were no casualties. He added that the agency’s response teams are currently conducting search and rescue operations.

“LASEMA Response Teams in search & rescue operation at a self-collapsed building on Amusu Street, Baale Bus Stop, Orile Iganmu,” Okunbor said in a terse statement.
