There is fresh anxiety over the health of President Muhammadu Buhari as he gave indication on Wednesday that needs more rest, and will be working from home.

Also, Buhari for the third time in two weeks failed to attend the Federal Executive Council Meeting, and has directed that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo should, henceforth, begin to preside over the meeting designed to take decisions on policy matters and programmes.

This is coming on the heels of over 20 ministers failing to attend the weekly FEC meeting.

When the president first skipped the meeting, presidential aide, Garba Shehu said the “agenda was light, and he had other matters to attend to.”

On the other occasion it was put down to “because of Easter celebrations”, Lai Mohammed, information minister, said.

It was learnt that even Vice-President Osinbajo who arrived around 11am, was unawre that he would be the one to coordinate the meeting until a protocol officer approached him to inform him of the president’s absence.
