JUST IN: Abia Governor Ikpeazu Suspends Chief Of Staff ‘With Immediate Effect’

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere.

A release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, did not give any reason for the suspension.

However, Agbazuere’s suspension may not be unconnected to a viral social media video that showed the Chief of Staff spraying bundles of money on a popular South East Pastor and founder of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry in Anambra State, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohaenemere, popularly known as Odumeje.

Odumeje, who became an internet sensation due to his dramatic style of pastoring his church, had visited Agbazuere in his office at the Abia State Government House last week.

Agbazuere, while welcoming Odumeje, described him as a huge blessing and rare gift to Ndigbo and the world at large.

Odumeje is one of the most talked about and leading spiritual figures in the South East. He hails from Orsu Ihete Ukwa in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.

The Permanent Secretary, Abia Government House, Mr Alozie Odoemelam and the Director of Protocol, Mr Benjamin Ononogbu, were among other top government functionaries present during Odumeje’s visit to the Abia Governor’s Chief of Staff.
