The police prosecutor, Insp Jimah Iseghede, had told the court that the defendant had committed the offences sometime in 2018 at 214 Idewu St., Olodi-Apapa.

Ali had stolen 1,000 cartons of Richman’s cigarette valued N2 million, belonging to Mr Emenike Okoronkwo, and had also threatened the life of the complainant, he alleged.

The offences, he noted, contravened Sections 168, 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
