About 305 Nigerians are on their way home from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, foreign affairs ministry has disclosed.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama, said that the evacuees were being conveyed by Emirates Airlines.
He further said that they would touch down in Abuja.
“@emirates conveying 305 Nigerian evacuees from Dubai, #UAE has departed for Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja,” he tweeted.
Furthermore, based on the Covid-19 Presidential Task Force evacuation protocols, they would all be expected to undergo a 14-day self isolation.
Since the lifting of international travel restrictions among countries, the federal government has been able to secure the evacuation of many Nigerians in the diaspora.
