Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigeria in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), on Saturday, disclosed that Peace Busari, who was at one time put on sale by a Lebanese, was on her way back to the country.
Abike also added that Temitope Arowolo who was held back by her employer, is also coming home.
“Finally ! Coming home !!!!!!Temitope , held behind by her employers and not allowed to board the last evacuation flight from Lebanon ,and Peace Busari, put up for sale on Facebook a few months back,” Abike tweeted.
Recall that a Lebanese, Wael Jerro, had in April, advertised Busari on social media.
He was subsequently apprehended by the Lebanese authorities following public outcry. The girl was also rescued.
According to Dabiri-Erewa , the duo make up “29 Passengers” who “just departed from Lebanon”.
Furthermore, NIDCOM appreciated the Lebanese Ambassador to Nigeria “who facilitated the return of the stranded Nigerians.”
