NWFL Super Six Title Race Intensifies On Day Two

The race for who gets crowned as Champions 2025/2026 Nigeria Women’s Football League enters day two at the Adokie Amaesiemaka Stadium in Port-Harcourt with title holders Bayelsa Queens facing Nasarawa Amazons at 12:00pm on Monday in one of the standout fixtures.

Bayelsa Queens were held to a 1-1 draw by Abia Angels in their opening fixture on Saturday.Recent meetings between both sides shows a closely contested battle, with Bayelsa Queens holding a slight edge in recent, including two wins in the last four encounters with their most recent Super Six clash ending in a 1-1 draw.

Former champions Rivers Angels will look to build on their impressive opening day 3-2 win over Robo Queens when they take on debutants Abia Angels.

Both sides recently clashed in the President Federation Cup in Eket with Rivers Angels winning 3-1.

A victory for the Port Harcourt ladies would strengthen their early title push, while Abia Angels will be desperate to announce their arrival on the Super Six stage.

The match is billed for 9AM.

The last fixture for the day will see FC Robo Queens take on Edo Queens with both teams desperate to record their first win in the competition.

Robo Queens fell 3-2 to Rivers Angels in their first game, while Edo Queens lost 1-0 to Nasarawa Amazons.

Robo Queens have been in solid form overall, winning three of their last five matches, with only two defeats, and will be eager to convert performances into points.
