Presidential Election Tribunal Begins Hearing On Atiku, Others’ Petitions

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has begun hearing of petition by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scored another victory in a suit challenging his eligibility to contest in the 2018 governorship election in Osun state. This comes as the Court of Appeal in Akure, Ondo state, on Saturday, reaffirmed his qualification and eligibility in the election. Appeal Court Dismisses NLNG’S Case Against NIMASA

The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, has dismissed the suit filed by the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) against the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). Prisoners In Nigeria Win Right To Vote In Elections

The Court of Appeal Benin Division on Friday granted the prayers of five prisoners, seeking the order of the court to direct the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to include all prisoners in the voter register. Buhari Approves Appointments Of 29 Justices For Appeal Court, Others

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday gave approval for the appointments of 12 justices of the Court of Appeal, nine for the Federal High Court and seven for the Court of the Federal Capital Territory.
