2027: APC’s Buhari Opens Campaign For Daura Federal Seat

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Daura, Sandamu and Mai’Adua Federal Constituency, Hon. Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari, has formally declared his campaign for the 2027 House of Representatives election.

Buhari made the declaration in a statement, saying his candidacy was a call to service and an opportunity to provide effective representation for the constituency.

He said the campaign would focus on engaging directly with constituents, listening to their concerns and understanding their aspirations rather than merely seeking votes.

According to him, he plans to visit communities across Daura, Sandamu and Mai’Adua and engage traditional and community leaders, women, youths, farmers, traders, professionals and other stakeholders.

“This campaign, for me, is not merely about seeking votes. It is about meeting our people, listening to their concerns, understanding their aspirations and presenting a clear vision for effective and responsive representation,” he said.

Buhari also appealed to his supporters to ensure that the campaign remained peaceful and issue-based, warning against violence, intimidation, hate speech, harassment and destruction of property.

He urged supporters to respect political opponents and allow voters to freely make their choices during the election.

“Politics should never become a reason for us to fight one another, insult our opponents or threaten the peace and unity of our communities,” he said.

“We can disagree politically without becoming enemies. We can support different candidates without losing respect for one another. At the end of every election, we will still remain neighbours, friends, brothers and sisters.”

The APC candidate said the campaign should be seen as a collective effort focused on the future of the constituency and creating opportunities for future generations.

He appealed to constituents for their prayers, support and trust as the campaign gets underway.
