5 Killed, 5 Injured In Multiple Accident On 3rd Mainland Bridge

Not less than five persons were confirmed dead, while five others were injured in a multiple auto crash which occurred on Sunday around 6pm on the 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
The deceased include 2 children, 3 female adults and one male adult. Their bodies have been deposited at the Mainland Hospital Mortuary.

The accident involved three vehicles, a Lag bus, Hilux truck consisting of local vigilante group and a Rover Jeep.
The injured persons were conveyed in a Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), to the trauma center for treatment.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), General Manager, Mr Michael Akindele, who confirmed the incident, said further investigations will be carried out by relevant government agencies to ascertain the cause of the crash.
He advised all motorist to avoid over speeding and oblige to traffic rules and regulations to avoid such occurrence.
