Abia Warriors Sign Former Enyimba Coach

Nigeria Premier League side, Abia Warriors has appointed former Enyimba coach Okey Emordi as its new Technical Adviser.

The chairman of the Umuahia based club, Emeka Inyama, who revealed this information added that the 2004 CAF Champions League winner has agreed personal terms with the Club and will be unveiled after all documentations have been concluded.

Emordi guided Enyimba to win the 2004 CAF Champions League and has handled some of the country’s top clubs including Rangers and Kano Pillars.

Inyama who spoke at the Club Office in Umuahia said that they have also secured the services of Patrick Ngwaogu who would work as the Match Reader.

He said Ngwaogu who holds a coaching certificate from the National Institute for Sports and Caf C license certificate will also assist the head coach in match reading and analysis.

He further stated that the club will retain the services of chief coach Abdullahi Biffo who is attending a coaching training in the United States.

Biffo helped Abia Warriors to safety this past season.

“We are aiming for the best this season, and remain optimistic that the 2016/2017 football season would be a better one for Abia Warriors,” he said.

He explained that the club is looking to bolster their squad this season, as they have engaged the services of Sunshine strike duo Dele Olorundare and Dayo Ojo. Also in talk with Central defender kehinde Anifowoshe of MFM.

Chief Inyama also revealed that his club will resume for the new season on 4 November, as they prepare adequately prepare ahead of the new season which begins on 6 December.
