APC Celebrates Gov Yahaya For Plans To Enroll 700,000 Out-Of-School Children

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on clocking 58 years of age on Wednesday.

The APC lauded Yahaya for his achievements since assuming office as the governor of the state on May 29, 2019.

The party, in a statement by its national spokesperson, Lanre Issa-Onilu, listed some of the achievements to include the planned enrollment of 700,000 out-of-school children in the state among others.

“Truly, the good people of Gombe state voted wisely in electing Governor Yahaya to steer the affairs of the state. The impact of the administration since assumption on May 29 is evident. Governor Yahaya has brought to bear his experience in finance and economic development in managing the resources of the state and proactively addressing many of the challenges the administration met on ground,” said Issa-Onilu.

The APC hailed the Yahaya-led administration for its focus on human capital development, provision of amenities and welfare for residents.

 “The administration has restored the normal supply of water into Gombe in the tune of 40 million litres per day; delivered fertiliser to all wards in the state to drive the ongoing agricultural revolution; tackling issues of basic education specifically the administration’s support to enroll the close to 700,000 out-of-school children in the state through the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA), a World Bank/Federal Government funded project; welfare and rehabilitation of displaced persons settled in Gombe state arising from the insurgency in the frontline states, among other notable strides.”

The party further commended the governor for “upholding the progressive ideology of APC” and prayed to God to continue to grant him good health and wisdom to bring good governance and development to the state.”
