Boko Haram Attacks Chibok Again, Kills Scores

Scores are feared killed and several injured following a renewed Boko Haram attack on a remote community in Chibok local government area in Borno State.

According to reports, the Boko Haram sect attacked Bolakla village in the southern part of the state on Tuesday which happens to be Christmas day.

It was gathered that the attack occurred at about 10:00 p.m yesterday.

“Our people were still in the mood of Christmas celebrations when the insurgents came firing into the village people started fleeing into different directions. Most people slept in the bush. We lost four people in the attack,” a resident of Chibok told Daily Sun.

The Tuesday attack came barely 24 hours after members of the sect attacked a military base in Kukareta, a suburb of Damaturu, the Yobe state capital.

At least two policemen and seventeen soldiers were said to have lost their lives during the Yobe attack on Monday.
