Delivering his remarks, Governor Bello disclosed that 91 students and two others were abducted by bandits, but that one of them unfortunately died.

He said, “91 was kidnapped, and we have received 90, and unfortunately we lost one of them.

“Alongside the 91 children, there were two abducted people who have been released as well. So total number received is 92”.

Reports said the abducted pupils are aged 4 to 15 years, and according to the governor, he wondered why “any one would abduct an innocent year old and keep him or her for over 80 days”.
