BREAKING: Youths Attack Oyo Police Headquarters Over Serial Ritual Killer’s Escape

Irate students have attacked the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters located at the Eleyele area of Ibadan following the escape of Sunday Shodipe, an alleged serial killer.

Shodipe, who confessed to have carried out some of the killings in the
Akinyele Local Government Area of the state, escaped from police custody on August 11.

THE WHISTLER gathered that the angry student group and some youths staged a protest at the police headquarters and the Commissioner of Police Nwachukwu Enwonwu,led other officers to receive them.

But some of the protesters were said to have gone violent and started hurling missiles at the place.

The situation was said to have been promptly brought under control.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed that some students came there to protest and some of them got out of hand.”

He said the situation was professionally handled and normalcy had returned..
