Buhari Will Use ‘Technical’ Means To Solve Herdsmen Crisis – Presidency

The President Muhammadu Buhari administration will amongst others means deploy “technical” measures to solve the Farmers-Fulani herdsmen crisis.

This was according to the Presidency which made the development known in a tweet on Tuesday.

“The administration’s approach to a lasting resolution of the crisis involves a combination of security/law enforcement efforts, diplomacy (consultations) and technical work (aimed at ensuring land and water are available for both farmers and herders without the need for disputes),” the tweet read.

The Presidency said this after Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, received the report of the National Economic Council Technical Sub-Committee on the Herdsmen/Farmers crisis.

The Governor David Nweze Umahi-led committee of other state governors had submitted the report to Osinbajo on Monday.
