According to him, the new development was because the traders in the state were violating the time limit earlier given to them to operate.

“The state government has observed that markets in the state now operate beyond the normal time allowed by measures and regulations put in place to curb the spread of covid-19 pandemic,” he said.

He added that the new order would be strictly enforced.

He also said that the closing time would enable traders arrive their homes ahead of the federal government’s 8pm to 6am curfew.
