COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 423 New Cases, Total Infections Now 47,290

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 423 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 47,290 .

The NCDC made this known on its official twitter handle on Tuesday .

According to the report, Lagos had the highest number of infections – 117, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Ondo which reported 40 and 35 cases respectively.

The health agency revealed that the number of those successfully treated and discharged from various treatment centres across the country so far stood at 33,609 with 956 reported deaths

The health agency said the ease of the lockdown did not mean that the COVID19 pandemic was over.

It urged Nigerians to take responsibility and adhere to guidelines to keep everyone safe.
