Regarding the EndSARS protests, President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the International Community to factcheck before jumping to the conclusion.

He stressed on this in a nationwide broadcast on Thursday.

“To our neighbours in particular, and members of the international community, many of whom have expressed concern about the ongoing development in Nigeria, we thank you and urge you all to seek to know all the facts available before taking a position or rushing to judgment and making hasty pronouncements,” he said.

Recall that the United Nations, African Union, and leaders in various countries had condemned the unsavory tales trailing the protests.

Particularly, the UN and AU called for durable reforms.

But, Buhari maintained that his administration was a listening one and has been taking concrete steps for the betterment of the country.

He also warned that he won’t allow breakdown of law and order.

“This government respects and will continue to respect all the democratic rights and civil liberties of the people, but it will not allow anybody or groups to disrupt the peace of our nation.

“Thank you all. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he added.
