The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded 2,058 out of 2,445 polling units results to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV) as of 7:01pm on Saturday, representing 84.17 per cent completion in the Ekiti State governorship election.
According to data on the portal viewed by THE WHISTLER, results have now been uploaded from several local government areas, including Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ilejemeje, Moba, Ikere, Ido/Osi, Ekiti East Development Area (EDA), Emure and Oye.
Others include Efon, Gbonyin, Ise/Orun, Ikole, Ekiti South West, Ado-Ekiti and Ijero Local Government Areas.
Meanwhile, 14 candidates are contesting the off-cycle governorship election, with incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking a second term in office.
His main challengers include Oluwole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oluwadare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oyebanji Olajuyin of the Labour Party and Blessing Abegunde of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Others in the race are Samuel Akande (AAC), Ayodeji Ojo (ADP), Opeyemi Felegan (Accord), Joseph Anifowose (APM), Bidemi Awogbemi (APP), Olaniyi Ayodele (PRP) and Victor Adetunji (ZLP).

Results are still being uploaded to the portal as collation and transmission continue across the state.
