The suit by the Socialist Democratic Party and Natasha Akpoti, was filed against INEC, All Progressive Congress (APC), and Bello.

A three-man panel led by Kashim Kaigama, presided over the matter on Monday.

According to TheCable, the panel dismissed the suit, challenging Bello’s election and alleging that it was married by irregularities.

The judge stressed that the petition lacked merit, and as such, he awarded SDP and Akpoti a fine of 100,000 naira each, adding that it must be paid to each of the three respondents.
