‘Keep Quiet Sir’ — Odumodublvck Dismisses Eedris Abdulkareem’s Claim Of Paving Way For New Artists

Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has refuted the claim that any musician paved the way for industry giants like Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.

This comes in response to veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem’s recent claim that the older generation of musicians like him paved the way for new acts.

Odumodublvck dismissed such assertions, and labelled them as attempts to claim “God’s glory.”

He emphasized that the success of Wizkid and Burna Boy was a result of their hard work and determination. He challenged the idea that any individual could pave the way for another in the music industry.

Taking to his X handle on Wednesday, Odumodublvck said, “Nobody paved the way for Wizkid or Burna Boy. They hustled. All of us get our individual struggles and realities. Inspired? Yes. Paved the way? That’s God.”

The ‘Declan Rice’ crooner added that artists can inspire each other, but ultimate success is a divine process.

He highlighted the unique journeys and struggles each artist faces and noted that no human being in the history of music paved the way for him except God.

“No human being in the history of music has paved the way for Odumodublvck. That’s God,” he stated.

He further cautioned against self-proclaimed ‘OGs’ (Original Gangsters) that might want to claim credit for his success: “So tomorrow make no OG come dey talk say e paved way for me, cause bros, you were not there when I was in the deng! So keep quiet sir.”
