Lagos Police Impound 5 Vehicles Over Violation Of Lockdown Order

The Lagos State Police Command on Friday impounded five vehicles, whose drivers violated the sit -at -home order.

The action was in continuation of the enforcement of restriction order issued by the state as a measure to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This comes on the heels of the arrest of 202 persons by the command on Thursday for similar violations.

According to a tweet on the command’s handle, areas monitored during the exercise included Isheri, Omole, Village, Lagos Island, etc.

“The Commander RRS @Tunjidisu1 who led the team also visited Computer Village where people were seen loitering at the entrance. They were warned to stay away from the streets or risk being arrested. Pls stay at home to stop the spread. #TheGoodGuys #StayatHome #BeSafe,” the tweet concluded.
