Nigerians Bash APC For Announcing Postponement Of Army Recruitment
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been read the riot act after it took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce the postponement of Nigerian Army recruitment exercise.
The Army had stated on its official Twitter handle (@HQNigerianArmy) that it will keep applicants posted when a new date for the recruitment exercise earlier slated for 26 February – Friday 9 is rescheduled.
The APC, however, took to the same platform to duplicate the information available on the Twitter page of the Army.
The party tweeted, “The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public particularly candidates for the 77 Regular Recruit Intake exercise earlier scheduled to hold nationwide from Monday 26 February – Friday 9 March 2018 that the exercise has been postponed till further notice.”
Reacting, however, some Nigerians expressed anger as to why the party’s twitter page would be used to communicate information from the Army.

The reactions:
What a big disgrace since no good archeivement from your weakling @APCUKingdom @NGRPresident @AsoRock why won’t you advise what does not concern you. So are you tell us that @HQNigerianArmy @HQNigerianArmy does not have tweeter handler you just want to over shadow them wrongly

How can the Apc handle be turned into the spokesperson or twitter handle of @NigerianArmy. Pls for your information the Nigerian army is an independent entity and not a political branch of the ruling party. Their handle is one of the best here. Don’t spoil it for them please.

Is APC the Nigerian Army’s spokesperson? Or this is a humanitarian mission APC has taken on itself. Informing prospective soldiers that the recruitment is cancelled.
— Elias Munshya (@eliasmunshya) February 26, 2018
When a political party is bereft of ideas, it has nothing else to offer so it becomes a spokesperson for the Army. Bunch of failures!
— Eugene (@siresand) February 27, 2018
Correct they have run out of ideas

Due to ongoing efforts to stop Lake Chad from drying up, no FEC meeting tmorro. Due to efforts to find Depchi Girls, Nigeria Army recruitment have been suspended by APC. The army don’t need any distraction now. APC and Army, una well done.

Was the recruitment for APC army? This should come from @HQNigerianArmy not @APCNigeria.
— Good over Evil (@idkaay07) February 27, 2018

Is this announcement suppose to be coming from your twitter handle? @HQNigerianArmy . This is so out of place. This is so wrong. You people are just pathetic.
— kelechi jack (@aro_okigbo) February 27, 2018
APC has now turn to Nigerian Army. They make announcement for Nigeria Army. That is to say @NigerianArmy @HQNigerianArmy has automatically become APC tool. I won’t be surprise if someday Nigerian Army contest for an election in Nigeria as a Military. Shame on Nigerian Govt
— Mrs Neil (@MrNeil8) February 27, 2018
And you are the Nigerian army? Is it your primary duty to announce statutory duties of a security agency, mr announcer? I think you all in this APC need your brains auctioned to zoo developers.
